Job description
-Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Approves invoices for payment.
-Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
-Maintains procurement history records such as items and/or services purchased costs, delivery, product quality or performance.
-Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
Qualifications
1-Excellent negotiation skills
2-Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
3-High analytical and problem-solving skills
4-Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
5-Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
